No, I mean, why the name, “SHINY”? Oh, sorry. SHINY – because we believe in the potential of the internet to change the way the world does business. The internet is still a young technology and people are still learning, we know better than most exactly what it is capable of and we’re excited. How did you guys get started? SHINY began with a seed planted in the minds of Brandon Miller and Marc Needham. Both have worked in a number of larger web development shops and saw firsthand the mistakes that were being made time and time again. Mistakes that were costing customers money. Mistakes that were resulting in poorly done websites. Brandon and Marc knew they could do it better; knew that they owed it to the world to prove themselves right. I don’t currently have a website and I’m not exactly sure why I need one. What good does a website do for me? Consider your website as two things. First, consider it a part of your marketing budget. Second consider it your front line – the first thing most of your customers will see when they try to find out more about your company.
